Ottawa Senators announce significant news regarding their future coach

TSN's Darren Dreger reported on X (formerly Twitter) that the Ottawa Senators are close to finalizing a deal with Travis Green to appoint him as their new head coach.

At 53, he has gained lots of experience in the NHL. Previously, Green was the interim head coach for the New Jersey Devils this past season after Lindy Ruff was fired.
The Ottawa Senators and Travis Green are nearing an announcement on the team's vacant head coaching role.

Prior to his time in New Jersey, Travis Green served as the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks from 2017 to 2021. During his tenure, he compiled a record of 133-147-34 (.478) in a little more than four seasons.
