It's been a disastrous seaon for Carolina Hurricanes forward Max Pacioretty. After being dumped by the Vegas Golden Knights to clear cap space, Pacioretty was determined to have a fresh start with the Hurricanes.

Unfortunately for the former 40 goal scorer ''Patches'' would get hurt in training camp, injuring his Achilles tendon that required surgery. Pacioretty just joined the Hurricanes, playing only 4 games.
Pacioretty recently left the game vs the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 12th with a lower body injury. The team's doctor said it wasn't related to his Achilles tendon injury but was out of the lineup until tonight.
Unfortunately for the 34 year old Pacioretty, his achilles was injured again vs the Minnesota Wild and it doesn't look good. Late in the 3rd period leading 5-2 vs the Wild Pacioretty went down with a non contract injury and couldn't get back up.
