The Dallas Stars came close to reaching the Stanley Cup Finals this post-season but were ultimately knocked out by the Vegas Golden Knights.

The team has made their intentions clear by signing multiple talents such as Matt Duchene, Sam Steel, and Craig Smith. They are going all-in for the 2024 season and will need more help in other areas.
To stay in the post-season long-term, the Stars will need to strengthen their defense, and there are many players available, or who could be with the right price. One of those players is Travis Sanheim, Philadelphia's own.
Sanheim had a strong 2021-2022 season, where he secured the Flyers' Barry Ashbee Trophy. Although he only posted 7-16-23 in 81 games this season, he may perform better on a contending team.
Sanheim is a solid blueliner who can skate and play in any situation on the ice and could be the left-handed solution for the team's woes.
