A catastrophe could occur for the Washington Capitals (VIDEO)

Washington Capitals' fans are certainly extremely worried.

The Caps lost in a shootout last night against the Maple Leafs. However, Washington already have clinched a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs so the loss isn't a big deal.

But here's a big deal : Alex Ovechkin left the game in the 3rd period after a big collision into the boards.

Maple Leafs' goaltender Erik Källgren tripped him up just before, so this is a big reason why he fell so hard...


After the game, Peter Laviolette, the Capitals head coach, didn't provide an update on his captain. We'll certainly know later today if the injury is serious...
