The Ottawa Senators signed Zack Macewen to a three-year deal in the off-season.

Despite being placed on the fourth line, the gritty forward had a dismal start to the 2023-2024 NHL campaign.

It is likely he will report to AHL Belleville unless he is claimed by another team.
In 2017, the Vancouver Canucks signed the forward, who was primarily an enforcer but also showed some offensive ability.
In 188 games between Vancouver, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Ottawa, he scored 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 points and acquired 245 PIMS.
In the early part of the season, Macewen only had one assist in two games, and he was a healthy scratch last night in the Senators 6-1 routing of the Washington Capitals.
