A prospect is really picking up momentum to be selected 5th overall by the Flyers

Not that long ago, prospects Simon Nemec and David Jiricek seemed to be the two favorites to be selected 5th overall by the Flyers in this year's Draft.

The Philadelphia Flyers have a need on defense - especially on the right side - and having one of Nemec or Jiricek would help a lot. However, there's a forward who is making more and more noise as we get closer to the Draft: Cutter Gauthier.
He is supposed to be selected around the 10th spot, but his recent performance at the U18 World Championship with Team USA impressed a LOT of people...

Here's how Dan Silver described Gauthier as a player...
"Big, toolsy forward who played a lot of wing this season but that many NHL scouts see as a center (...) Have seen some comparisons to Pierre-Luc Dubois who was also a late draft riser (...) Some scouts question his hockey IQ," wrote Silver on Twitter.

This season, Gauthier registered 65 points in 54 games with the U.S. National U18 Team.
