The Flyers are in great need of a scorer to add to the team. Chuck Fletcher said on record that he would love to add a top-six player, however the salary cap is an issue that will not allow the Flyers to sign new players through trade or free agents.
But the Flyers could sign Connor McClennon with an entry-level contract (ELC). The 6th round pick of the 2020 NHL Draft has been in great form in the WHL, playing for Winnipeg and scoring 81 points with 43 goals during this season. McClennon is a 163 pounds, 5»8 natural goal scorer. His skating is impeccable, he fights for the puck and has a powerful and highly accurate shot.
According to Jamey Baskow, McClennon is on the verge of signing an ELC since he needs to sign it before the 1st of June, or he'll be a free agent. Will the 19 years old make an impact in an Orange & Black jersey?
