The Chicago Blackhawks are reluctant to tell you that a true franchise great passed away today.
Bobby Hull, one of the greatest Blackhawks to ever step on the ice, passed away sadly at the age of 84.
Via NBC Sports Chicago: The franchise's all-time leader in goals (604), Hull scored at least 50 in a season twice and was a first-team NHL All-Star in 10 of his 15 seasons in Chicago. He won two Hart trophies and three Art Ross trophies as a member of the Blackhawks. Only Stan Mikita (1,467) has more points in Blackhawks history than Hull (1,153). He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and had his jersey retired by the Blackhawks in 1983.
Bobby Hull still holds the record for the most goals ever scored by a Blackhawks player with 604 in just 1,036 games. Patrick Kane and Stan Mikita, two other superstars, are ahead of him with more than1,153 points each in team history.
