The Philadelphia Flyers have been one of the bottom teams in NHL of late due to mismanagement by Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher and their scouting staff.
The Flyers haven't done to well in recent years when it comes to drafting either. It looks like that trend continues as another former first round pick looks to be a bust.
According to multiple reports this week, former Philadelphia Flyers first round pick 22nd overall at the 2016 National Hockey League Entry Draft German Rubtsov is heading to Europe after failing to secure a contract in the National Hockey League this off-season.
Rubtsov was a member of the Florida Panthers after being included as part of the Claude Giroux trade, but it would now appear that the Panthers never had any intention of qualifying Rubtsov.
The Flyers 2nd overall pick in 2017 Nolan Patrick also didn't pan out for the Flyers and looks like his NHL career may be coming to a end due to Injures.
