When it comes to any NHL organization, one of the most crucial aspects of building a team is having a reliable starting goaltender who can alleviate the worry of losing games due to this position.
As many players would agree, the goaltender is the backbone of the organization, a belief that I firmly share. Over the years, the Flyers have been fortunate to have exceptional goalies such as Bernie Parent, Ron Hextall, and Pelle Lindbergh.
Currently, rumours are circulating within the NHL that the Flyers' rival, the New Jersey Devils, is showing interest in acquiring Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck.
It has been reported that there is mutual interest between Hellebuyck and the Devils as well.

At present, the Devils already have Vitek Vanicek and Akira Schmidt under contract for the next season. Hellebuyck has expressed his lack of desire to remain with the Winnipeg Jets and has no plans to sign a long-term deal after his current contract expires next season.
If a deal were to be negotiated, the Winnipeg Jets would expect a substantial return, considering Hellebuyck's value as one of their best trade assets.
For now, fans will have to wait and see if this potential acquisition comes to fruition or not.
