In a stunning development, the Philadelphia Flyers have been involved in the first blockbuster deal of the off-season, engaging in a three-way trade.
As part of the trade, defenseman Ivan Provorov is heading to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and third worst team in the NHL last year.
In return, the Flyers will receive defenseman Sean Walker and goaltender Cal Petersen, who has an awful contract and was sent down to the minors last year.
Additionally, the Los Angeles Kings will retain 30% of Provorov's contract. This trade signifies a significant shake-up for the Flyers' defensive lineup and brings new talent to Philadelphia's roster.
