After over two decades of leading the Philadelphia Flyers, Chairman and Governor David Scott announced his retirement at the end of the 2022-2023 NHL season.

Following Scott's announcement, it was revealed that Dan Hilferty, the recently named CEO of Comcast Spectacor, will be taking over as the new Chairman and Governor of the Flyers on April 17th. Hilferty has an impressive background, having served as the CEO of Independence Blue Cross and as the Chair of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
With Hilferty at the helm, there are sure to be some changes to the Flyers organization. However, given his proven leadership and impressive track record, fans can be confident that the team is in good hands. As the Flyers look to build on their successes from this season and compete for another Stanley Cup, Hilferty's guidance and expertise will be invaluable.
