The 26-year-old victim of a recent car accident is being thought of and prayed for by the hockey community.
On Sunday, Justin Kirkland was travelling to the Anaheim Ducks arena while they were set to play�the Boston Bruins when he was seriously injured in a vehicle accident. Kirkland was taken to UCI Health, where he is still being evaluated. Throughout these difficult times, many people are keeping Kirkland in their thoughts and prayers.
The general manager of the Anaheim Ducks issued the following statement, as indicated below:
"We are thankful for the quick care and treatment Justin received from first responders and medical staff at UCI Health. Justin is in great spirits, and we hope he will be released shortly."
Kirkland was selected 62nd overall by the Nashville Predators in 2014, and he has since played for the Anaheim Ducks of the NHL, the Calgary Flames of the minor league,�both teams' lower league affiliates.
