Hockey fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the highly anticipated 2023 Stanley Cup final between the Florida Panthers and the Vegas Golden Knights, scheduled to kick off this Saturday. The Golden Knights will have the advantage of starting the series at home in Sin City, but facing the surprising and captivating Panthers team could make it a challenging task.
Recently disclosed ticket prices for the thrilling cup final games have raised eyebrows.
Despite the Panthers having lower average home attendance than the Columbus Blue Jackets this season, they will host Games 3 and 4 of the series. The cost of admission, as reported by Matt Levy of the New York Post, is far from cheap. During the regular season, Panthers fans could snag tickets for as low as $20.
However, for the Stanley Cup final, prices soar significantly. The cheapest tickets available at the time of publication were $349 before fees at Las Vegas's T-Mobile Arena, while prices started at $424 before fees at Sunrise, FL's FLA Live Arena. Fans in Florida may face prices as high as $830 or even a staggering $1747 for the ultimate Game 7 experience.
The exorbitant costs undoubtedly present a challenge for many fans, potentially making the dream of attending a Stanley Cup final game out of reach for those with limited financial resources. However, the allure of the Stanley Cup ensures sell-out crowds despite the steep prices.
