Due to Carter Hart and Felix Sandstrom's absences, the Philadelphia Flyers are particularly vulnerable.

Injuries have plagued the team recently, with Carter Hart out with an injury to his mid-body and Felix Sandstrom, as of last night, with an upper-body injury. Help must be found elsewhere for the Flyers.

With Samuel Ersson now the starting goaltender and Cal Petersen the backup, someone must step up in Lehigh Valley.
As a result of Petersen's absence, Reading Royals ECHL affiliate Nolan Maier has been called up to fill in for Petersen.
In addition to Maier, the Flyers have reached out to other NHL clubs to find help, including the Blues.
To do this, the team obtained goaltender Will Cranley on loan from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are very thin on goalie depth at this point, with what seems like a bandage covering a gaping wound.
Will Cranley played 44 games for the Flint Valley Firebirds in the OHL, posting a 3.87 GAA and .884 save percentage. In the ECHL, Nolan Maier has played 4 games with a 4.20 GAA and a .868 save percentage in the 2023-2024 season.
Things aren't looking too promising so far in the AHL for the Flyers.
