Fast forward to training camp. In rookie camp, right before the main training camp opened, Bjarnason disclosed he got to hang with Hart at a Phillies game and admitted he was looking forward to watching Hart in practice during camp because he was planning on being a sponge. He wants to soak up as much info as he can and take it back to Juniors with him, where he plans to implement it into his game and style. The Flyers took this to heart and placed the youngster into group three, alongside Hart to give him the optimal chance to do exactly as he wants to do.
Based on what we saw in the rookie game, it's pretty clear Bjarnason's style is already pretty similar to Hart's, but he's young enough that there's a chance he could pick up on a few extra things he's yet to implement into his game.
Bjarnason is still quite a few years away from the NHL, but Hart believes he will get there and be a starting goalie one day. Whether that will be with the Flyers or not will be determined in the future. One thing is for sure, with the amount of goalie prospects coming up in the Flyers system, and the fact Hart believes he'll be here for the foreseeable future(time will tell), Bjarnason will have a hard fight to climb the ladder in the Flyers system, but the potential is there and time will tell if Bjarnason is able to find his way into the crease with the Flyers, or elsewhere.
