The Boston Bruins General Don Sweeny has been busy this off-season, after the Bruins were eliminated early in last year's playoffs by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Sweeny upsetted many Bruins fans and playing including David Pastrnak with the shock firing of former Head Coach Bruce Cassidy. Since then Sweeney has been trying to get the Bruins Stanley cup team back together talking Captain Patrice Bergeron into resigning and bringing back David Krejč.
There's even talks of trading for Milan Lucic, but when it comes to the Bruins best player David Pastrnak it appears he's still looking like he wants a change in scenery. Pasta is a pending UFA next summer and while Don Sweeny is hoping to sign him up asap that doesn't look like it's happening.
According to Andy & Rono of ARSports Pasta is in no rush to considering re-signing with the Bruins. Pasta's only consideration at this time is winning a Stanley Cup, something he's unsure the Bruins can accomplish.

According to Andy & Rono of ARSports:

The Boston Bruins would like re-sign David Pastrnak this off-season already, but according to our source Pastrnak is in no rush to sign an extension. Not so good news for Boston.

It looks like he wants to know if the Bruins still will have a chance to win the Stanley Cup in those next years when Bergeron and Krejci retire. He wants a Stanley Cup so bad. It's his goal.

Don't get us wrong. He still prefers to stay in Boston. He loves the city. But nothing is sure right now. Maybe we'll see Stamkos/Gaudreau situation again or something like that in next summer.
Pasta made a quote last week similar to Nathan MacKinnon's:

"I'm going into my ninth season and I haven't won anything yet. Time flies and I regret it every year. On the other hand, I'm healthy and I'm not worried about preparing for the new season, which I haven't been able to do in the last three years."
