I have written many articles for the Flyers this year, one common fact continues to come up. The Flyers have their cornerstone goaltender in Carter Hart and throughout this miserable season, he has shown that he can carry the team and give the saves they need to win many hockey games.
During an interview with Jamey Baskow, author of the Flyers Nitty Gritty, Hart repeatedly said how much he enjoys and loves the city of Philadelphia and the Flyers but also has the desire to win.
I felt this season that Hart was the MVP of this team even though the success in the winds was not there. He finished the season with 55 games played, 22 wins with 23 losses and 10 overtime losses. He had a 2.94 GAA and a .907 SV percentage.
There have been some thoughts, that the Flyers are going to move Hart during the summer because rumours were saying he was unhappy with a rebuild. I don't feel this is the case and now seeing this article certainly says that he wants to stay and he will be a vital player in the Flyers lineup to make that happen.
