We have seen alot of moves this off-season from many players finding new home via free agency and trades.
However, we recently saw a trade that didn't actually happen with Toronto Maple Leaf fans keeping a eye on the internet to see what's going to happen between the Leafs and restricted free agent
Rasmus Sandin.
Trading the young star might be a terrible decision for the Maple Leafs, though it may be their best option especially where Maple Leafs General Manager is towards the salary cap.
According to Cap Friendly, the Maple Leafs have little to no salary cap to offer a raise for Sandin without making another move. The young defenseman is just off his three-year entry level contract. For now, NHL teams are allowed exceed the cap during the off-season but we are just 6 weeks away from the regular season so Dubas is going to have to figure something out.
