Claude Giroux Makes an Odd Request to Sens General Manager
The Ottawa Senators, eager to progress, seek more from their leadership group including Ottawa native Claude Giroux.
General Manager Pierre Dorion shared on a podcast that Claude Giroux believes ditching ties will help them reach the playoffs.
Dorion: Giroux told me we'll make the playoffs next year if we don't have to wear ties. I believe in doing things the right way still, and believe in having structure for the young guys, but we eased up towards the end of the year
However, this reasoning appears misguided, as the team's struggles extend beyond dress code policies.
The lack of player accountability may contribute to their shortcomings, and Giroux's comments are nothing but interesting.
