Claude Giroux and the Panthers are already in big trouble

So, why am I saying that Claude Giroux and his teammates are in trouble, since it's a best-of-7 series? Well, if you look in the past, there's things that are pretty worrying for them.

Since 2009, 4 of the 5 Presidents' Trophy winners - excluding the Panthers this season - that lost Game 1 of Round 1 got eliminated of the Playoffs in the 1st round. The most recent example is the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2019. They got swept by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Let's hope for Claude Giroux that his team will not take the same path as those franchises mentioned earlier...
