Claude Giroux made a big declaration regrading his future

It's going to be pretty interesting to see what will happen with Claude Giroux. He played very well during the last playoffs with the Panthers, but unfortunately, they were eliminated in 4 games in the second round against the Lightning.
The next big step for Claude Giroux is free agency. He will have the choice to join whatever team he wants, but, for the moment, he wants to take his time. He said that he very well could see himself staying with the Panthers, but nothing for sure.
There has been rumours about him joining the Ottawa Senators. He played in this region during his junior years, so it's pretty much like home for him. The Panthers and the Flyers don't have a lot of cap space to sign Giroux so Ottawa could be considered the early favorite.
"There are a lot of things to worry about and a decision has to be made (...) It's a tough question because the season ended a few days ago. It's up to what they want to do and what I want to do. There's a lot of conversations to be had," said Giroux about staying with the Panthers.
And regarding the Flyers? It's a possibility. With that being said, it seems unlikely. Sometimes, you have to let things go...
