John Tortorella recently revealed some concerning news about the injury of Travis Konecny. According to Tortorella, Sean Couturier, who has undergone two major back surgeries, is on track to return to action before Travis Konecny.

This news is concerning for Flyers fans, as both Couturier and Konecny are important players for the team. Couturier, a two-time Selke Trophy winner, is one of the best defensive forwards in the league and a key contributor to the Flyers' offense. Konecny, on the other hand, is a young forward with a lot of potential who has already established himself as a top-six forward for the team.
The issue? The Flyers medical staff and management have not specified what Konecny's injury is, a broken bone, a sprain, did he severely break something? We are not aware, as the Philadelphia Flyers' medical staff continues to blunder.
The fact that Couturier is on track to return before Konecny is a cause of concern. Recovering from two major surgeries is no easy feat, and it's impressive that Couturier has been able to make such progress. However, it also highlights the severity of Konecny's injury and raises questions about when he will be able to return to action, which Torts stated it may not be this year.
In any case, Flyers fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for both players, as they are both important pieces of the team's puzzle. Only time will tell when Konecny will be back on the ice, but in the meantime, the team will have to make do without him and hope that Couturier can continue to contribute at a high level.
