Controversy erupted last night between the Flyers and the Capitals

Well, it was a horrible night for the Flyers. They were simply humiliated by the Capitals by the socre of 9 to 2. At the end of the game, Washington had a late powerplay, but with the win already secured, the Flyers would have hoped that the coaching staff didn't put Ovechkin on the ice, which was the case.

According to the ESPN broadcast, the Flyers were mad at the Capitals for doing that. Tom Wilson had the perfect answer for them as he said "How is Ovechkin supposed to join Gretzky?".

Obviously, Wilson was talking about the all-time goal record in the NHL, which is held by Wayne Gretzky for the moment. For some people, this behaviour by the Flyers was "incredibly weak and absolute loser nonsense".
