After a brutal end to the regular season between Tony DeAngelo and management, all signs point to him getting moved or bought out.

Tony DeAngelo has a history of being a bit of a problem with some of his former organizations, so him being benched and having issues with John Tortorella is not surprising. However, DeAngelo signed a two-year contract with the former Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher in the summer of 2022, therefore he will still be on the Flyers' books for the upcoming campaign with a $5 million cap hit.
Given that situation, the Edmonton Oilers may be looking to help the Flyers out; but it could cost them more than they're looking for.
With rumours spreading in Edmonton that Cody Ceci could be out the door, Tony DeAngelo may be a replacement. A trade between the Flyers and Oilers could not just be one and one straight up, Philadelphia may have to sweeten the deal by retaining DeAngelo's contract or possibly take on an ugly pre existing contract like Jack Campbell. Which, would probably push the Flyers even further back in their rebuild.
Or the Edmonton Oilers could take a one for one and both teams benefit.

Cody Ceci had a career high 28 points in 2021-22, playing in 78 games. Definitely seen as more of a defensive d-man, which the Flyers need. Rather than their defence playing up and focusing on scoring rather then helping the back stop.
Ceci carries over a $3,250,000 cap hit, for two seasons into 2024-25. Which the Flyers could possibly get Cody Ceci's contract retained in return for retaining Tony DeAngelo's, in doing a 50/50 split.
Tony DeAngelo is highly expected to be bought out or moved sooner rather than later, as Danny Briere has some decided to do on how to improve the Flyers roster.
