Despite Giroux Not Being a Flyer He Still Performed a Classy Gesture Towards Carter Hart
Claude Giroux spent exactly 1,000 NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers, the only other one to hit that crazy milestone? Bobby Clarke, who is highly respected around the NHL, and especially respected within the Philadelphia Flyers fan base and organization.
Like all good things, there is a time they must come to an end, last season that was the case with Giroux as he decided to branch off and take his talents elsewhere after he requested a trade with the Flyers. Giroux decided to narrow his options down to the Panthers or Avalanche, he chose the Panthers, where he would play under 24 games and hit the free agency market, where he would then sign with his hometown team the Ottawa Senators.
Last night, Giroux played his first game against the Flyers since being traded, some hacks and whacks were exchanged between him and some Flyers, but also some smiles and great gestures were performed, like this one with Carter Hart below, check it out.
The puck was completely out of the zone but Giroux decided to swing back to ''un-intentionally'' kick Carter Hart's stick back to him!
