Did this Flyers player and front office employee talk to krug?
There was a trade in which Kevin Hayes and Travis Sanheim were supposed to be sent to St. Louis for Torey Krug and a 1st round draft pick.
However, the trade fell through and Hayes was eventually traded to St. Louis in a different deal.

Torey Krug originally planned to be a significant part of the trade coming back to Philadelphia, but it seems that he was not informed of the trade and put a stop to it.
The Flyers organization made efforts to recruit Krug, even involving former Flyer John LeClair and respected player Cam Atkinson.
Despite these efforts, Krug did not waive his no-trade clause to come to Philadelphia. It is understandable that Krug, being a veteran player, prefers the comfort of knowing where he will play next year. However, it is indeed peculiar that they attempted to trade him in the first place.
