In last night's game between the Vancouver Canucks and the San Jose Sharks, a concerning incident occurred. Giving fans a disturbing feeling regarding the recent Adam Johnson tragedy.

Sharks' goalie Kaapo Kahkonen seemed to suffer a head injury, and there was a scary moment when Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko's skate blade came very close to Kahkonen's neck. In a heartwarming show of sportsmanship, Kuzmenko quickly approached the shaken goalie to check on him. Afterward, Kahkonen left the ice to get checked for a concussion.
In response to Johnson's tragic passing, the NHL has allowed minor league teams to use neck guards if they want to. But the decision to use neck guards in NHL games will be thoroughly thought over and evaluated. Key people, including the NHL Player Safety, the NHL Board of Governors, and the Players' Association, will be part of these discussions.
