Don't sleep on this Western Conference team in the Giroux sweepstakes

However, I was listening to the Fourth Period video from yesterday and something very interesting was mentioned: the Vegas Golden Knights could be "in" on Giroux.

The reason? Well, they are always trying to trade for the big fish available on the market.

They did it with Jack Eichel in November. They did it for Mark Stone during the 2019 trade deadline. They did it just before the beginning of training camp in the same year for Max Pacioretty...

The only thing is that I don't see them being capable to make a deal with the Flyers because they don't seem to have the pieces to meet the demands of Philadelphia. Vegas traded the majority of their prospects to be a contender.

Maybe a young guy like Brendan Brisson could be an interesting piece for the Flyers? But still, there are plenty of better options with other teams so I don't think that there's a fit between the Golden Knights and the Flyers to make a deal with Giroux as a centerpiece of it.

And don't forget that they are very close to the cap ceiling...
