Tim Peel retired last year after an incident involving his microphone during a game. After making a call against a Nashville player, he said that "it wasn't much, but I wanted to get a ******* penalty against Nashville early."

The former NHL referee is now pretty active on social media, especially on Twitter. And he took advantage of it, today, by calling out Winnipeg Jets star forward Mark Scheifele.
The latter was involved in a incident during last year's playoffs, when he made a violent and non-necessary check to the head of Montreal's Jake Evans. Scheifele was suspended for the rest of the series, as his team was swept by the Canadiens in the 2nd round.
The Jets and the Canadiens played against each other for the first time since the playoffs, and Scheifele answered the bell with Montreal defenseman Chris Wideman. Although the forward lost his fight against the small blue liner, he fired the crowd after it. And Tim Peel didn't appreciate that.
"Zero respect for Mark Scheifele. What he did to Jake Evans last year was brutal. He has never had any respect for the Officials either. Way to go Chris Wideman! Much respect for you!!"
