Last night, the New Jersey Devils had high expectations of extending their winning streak to fourteen games, but they were defeated by the Toronto Maple Leafs nonetheless. Some may argue that the officials were at fault for the outcome of the game.
Three goals for the New Jersey Devils were disallowed, two of which were extremely obvious excellent goals that even the commentators couldn't believe.

Are those the correct calls? Although it doesn't seem to be the case and the Devils' sold-out arena had every right to be incensed by the calls, this in no way implies that spectators are permitted to throw things onto the ice, which may potentially harm players.
The Devils supporters were all shooting for the Leafs bench while the crowd screamed "Leafs, refs stink," in addition to throwing items like popcorn, skittles, and water bottles as well as full, cracked open beers onto the ice.
Look at the scenario below, when the Leafs were forced to leave the ice and take a 10-minute break in their locker room to allow the crowd to settle down.
