Morgan Frost's career with the Philadelphia Flyers has certainly been interesting, filled with many twists and turns, especially when John Tortorella arrived last year. It seemed that Frost was on a short leash with Torts throughout the season, as his play and defensive game did not meet Tortorella's standards.
As the season progressed and came to a close, Frost accumulated 46 points in 81 games, including 19 goals. Since Frost was a restricted free agent, it remains to be seen what kind of contract he would secure, and he ultimately signed a two-year deal worth $4.2 million.
Fast forward to October and the beginning of the season, and it's safe to say that he has lost the trust of the coach. Frost has been benched for four consecutive games because his performance hasn't been up to par, while other players have outperformed him.

It now appears that General Manager Danny Briere is actively working the phones to find a market that could take Frost, as he aims to recoup the $2.1 million investment and potentially acquire a few assets along the way.
As per the Fourth Period, during the intriguing contract negotiations, it seemed the Flyers had been in contact with the Ottawa Senators and the Montreal Canadiens regarding Frost's services. However, the costs were deemed too high, leading both teams to back off from their offers.
One thing is certain: the Flyers will need to make a move at some point, as they cannot afford to have that much money sitting on the bench or in the press box, especially if Frost is not going to enter the lineup. Frost will need to dig deeper and stand out to show Torts that he belongs with the Flyers.
