Flyers Head Coach Tortorella Trending Once Again After Uncensored Quote After Loss
John Tortorella has been the reason the Philadelphia Flyers have defined their character and look like a rejuvenated group at times this season, Torts' system is just superior, and the stats prove it.
The Flyers penalty kill ranks sixth overall amongst 32 NHL organizations, killing off 78.9% of penalties this year under Tortorella's new aggressive PK strategy. Last year the Flyers ranked 25th with their penalty kill percentage of 74%, that extra 4.9% this season may not seem like much, but it truly is when it comes to the PK stat.
With Tortorella turning this team around we must trust his process, and players must do so as well, that �process' also comes alongside Torts' hard-headed ways, and lots of bluntness when speaking with players and the media. Some may think Torts is hard-headed, but the man himself has stated he is just truthful and honest, there are no hidden doors when speaking to Tortorella.
