Last night, the New York Rangers won Game 7 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Thus, they will play against the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round.

With that being said, things could have been much different, as one rule changed everything. As you probably know, a player can't be involved in a play if he doesn't have his helmet on. That's what happened to Marcus Pettersson, who had to leave the ice. Moments after, Mika Zibanejad scored the game tying goal...
Philadelphia Flyers forward Nate Thompson wasn't happy with it...
"The helmet rule needs to go. You shouldn't have to put your helmet on during the play or skate off the ice. Both options take you out of the play with how fast our game is. Players are good enough to play without a helmet for the remainder of there shift. It's hockey," said Thompson on Twitter.
