According to sources, the Flyers are weighing their options with 27-year-old defenseman Travis Sanheim. While he's viewed as a valuable asset, he's not off the trading table. However, the team is primarily looking to shop Ivan Provorov, who they believe can fetch a first-round pick. The Flyers are keen on keeping their defensive core intact, which is why they're not eager to trade away their veteran players.

With Sanheim's eight-year, $50 million contract extension set to kick in, the Flyers may have a hard time finding a trade partner willing to part with valuable draft picks. Any deal involving Sanheim would likely involve a swap of players with a similar contract value.
Provorov and Sanheim have been viewed as a promising young pairing for the Flyers, but the team is in a position where they need to make some tough decisions to improve their chances of contending in the future. With the NHL Draft coming up, it will be interesting to see what the Flyers are able to accomplish on the trade front.
