It has come to light that Russian goalie Ivan Fedotov was forced to serve in the current war in the East against his will. This unexpected turn of events prevented him from joining the team that drafted him, as he was detained in St. Petersburg.

Despite this setback, Fedotov is considered a promising prospect, having achieved a 2.00 GAA and a respectable .919 SV% during his final season in the KHL with CSKA Moscow. Sadly, his entire' career won't be spent with the Flyers.

Unfortunately, it appears that Fedotov will return to CSKA Moscow once he is released from detention, which is a blow to the Flyers prospect pipeline, and the young goaltenders well-being.
Fedotov, was drafted 188th overall by Ron Hextall and the Flyers in 2015.
