During last night's Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 win against the most recent Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, star forward Nathan MacKinnon exited the game during the first period and didn't return for the remaining two periods of play.
There is no set information on how MacKinnon got injured, but as you can see in the video below; he is favouriting his hip, and earlier in the first period Scott Laughton delivered a blow to MacKinnon which may have caused the injury.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar released some information that is not the best for Avalanche fans, and we can only hope that MacKinnon recovers well!
The fact he's leaving early in the game is not a good sign. We know he's gonna miss some time. Just don't know how long".
Colorado Avalanche fans have taken their superstars injury quite heavily, and are more than furious towards Scott Laughton, stating he will be getting his ''revenge'' when the face off next time.
It adds to their long list of injuries containing several other players, they are looking like the banged up Flyers.
It almost seems as if none of these comments are from people who have watched a game of hockey before as they make zero sense, Laughton did not intend to injure MacKinnon obviously, it was just another typical hockey ''shoving'' play.
