The Flyers managed to grab a first win (4-3 over the Rangers) in a shootout this year, thanks to Kevin Hayes. Before his goal on Igor Shesterkin, the Flyers were 0-for-18 this year in shootout attempts.
That's a pretty crazy stat.

Other than that, the kids played great. Owen Tippett, who scored his first as a Flyer thanks to a great effort, could have a hat trick last night. Cam York continued his strong play and was rewarded with a goal.
Morgan Frost continued to play very well. He could've ended the game in OT on this sequence, but Igor Shesterkin made a great save.
Do you want a great statistic? I'll give it to you. The three Flyers' scorers last night were 21 (Cam York), 22 (Joel Farabee) and 23 years old (Owen Tippett).
Martin Jones was sharp in front of his net. He made 43 saves on 46 shots. We're going to be honest, the Flyers got dominated during the majority of this game. But thanks to Jones, they were able to leave the MSG with two more points in the bank.
Of course, it's not a great news for the people who wants to see the club lose a maximum of games until the end of the season. But you need those types of win for the younger players. When we talk about building a new culture, those types of wins are extremely important.
