1. Claude Giroux was certainly speaking as someone who knows that he'll be gone soon, during his press conference yesterday.

"If I can be honest, I'm focused on playing 1000 games with the Flyers. After that, it's going to be a change of mindset a little bit, and then see how things are going to go," said Giroux.
2. In his famous "32 Thoughts", Elliotte Friedman said that a trade involving Claude Giroux wasn't imminent. The focus is, for the moment, his 1000th game with the team. Friedman believes that the Colorado Avalanche are still interested in the Flyers forward, although the Florida Panthers seems to be the preferred destination of Giroux. He added that Chuck Fletcher wasn't impressed with the offers that have been made for the moment for his captain.
Also, Friedman said that we had to be careful with the Travis Sanheim trade rumours. His pair with Rasmus Ristolainen is one of the few things clicking for the team this season, so the sense is that it would be logical to keep them together. However, the guy that could be traded is Ivan Provorov.
