After top prospect, Tyson Foerster scored the first goal of today's scrimmages. During the second scrimmage, his team took part in Foerster, slid head-first into the boards, and left the ice favoring his shoulder as a result.

The Flyers' head trainer, Tommy Alva checked him out for several minutes before the promising forward rejoined his team on the bench.
According to media members on hand, Foerster flexed his stick checking to see how it would affect his shoulder for a few more moments before he retook the ice and rejoined the scrimmage.
Tomorrow could reveal the episode is worse than it currently appears, but the fact that he never went to the locker room and ultimately rejoined the scrimmage is a hopeful sign.

Foerster is attempting to make the main roster out of camp. He had a rough couple of showings in last weekend's rookie games against the New York Rangers rookies leading fans to be concerned about his chances of making the big club out of camp. In his pre-camp interview, Briere revealed upper management is not concerned about the rookie game showings. Basically, he's admitting that they will assess Foerster's ability to make the team based on how he does in the overall training camp and Flyers pre-season games rather than basing it off of two games that he could have possibly viewed as "too easy" which affected his play.
Today's near disaster could have derailed Foerster's opportunity to make the team out of camp this season, but it seems the Flyers and Foerster have managed to avoid this bullet and continue the top prospect's chances to make the team out of camp.
