It's safe to say that the Flyers and their fan base will have an intriguing season ahead of them, especially after the terrible one they had the previous year. Expectations for this team are set fairly low as it continues its rebuilding phase, with general manager Danny Briere looking to make deals to help improve the team today and for the future.

With Ivan Provorov and Kevin Hayes no longer part of the Flyers, the team has opened doors for some of their drafted youth from the past few years to try to make the team and leave an impact on upper management and coaching. Given all this, there are numerous questions still circulating this team, and they will continue to do so throughout the entire year.
Can Sean Couturier and Cam Atkinson remain healthy all season? This is arguably one of the most significant questions for the team, as both players battled long-term injuries last year and the year before. Couturier is by far the biggest question mark, considering his return from major surgery and whether his body can endure the rigours of an NHL season.

After missing all of last year, Couturier's salary cap will be restored to the Flyers at a cap hit of $7.75 million per season through 2030. Atkinson also faced numerous injuries last year and couldn't play for extended periods. Only time will tell if his offseason efforts have strengthened his body for the upcoming season, enabling him to be effective on the ice.
Can the defence handle the season?
Head coach John Tortorella has always prioritized defence in any of the teams he's coached. The Flyers' defence will undoubtedly be a question mark, as several players have rotated in and out of the lineup heading into this year. With Ivan Provorov traded and Tony D'Angelo bought out, a few spots are open to see if younger players can step in and make an impact.
Cam York and Egor Zamula could become crucial components of this defensive lineup, as both players will have an opportunity this season. The Flyers have also added Mark Staal into the mix, providing short-term support to their defensive core as younger players prepare to enter the NHL.
Will Tyson Foerster take the next step?
I firmly believe in this player, and I anticipate his NHL debut this year. In the final games of the previous season, he displayed promise and scoring ability that should translate well to an 82-game schedule. He possesses the skill set, hockey IQ, and a powerful shot that should earn him a spot on the second or third lines to start.
As he continues to develop, I expect him to secure a spot in the Flyers' top six within the next few years. With Cutter Gauthier and Matvei Michkov also entering the mix, Forster will undoubtedly bolster their offence.
The Flyers organization finds itself in interesting times, with the potential for an exciting future as the youth movement begins to integrate into the lineup, propelling the Flyers to the next level of their rebuild.
