Flyers aren't well represented on the top 50 NHL-affiliated prospects list of Craig Button

Slowly but surely, we see young players that have been developed within the organization reach the NHL.

This season, it has been the case of Noah Cates, Bobby Brink, Ronnie Attard or Felix Sandstrom, who played well last night against the Rangers despite allowing three goals.

The draft record of the organization has been criticized lately, but things are going well. However, it seems that there's still a long way to go.

Recently, Craig Button, from TSN, published his top-50 prospect list, and the Flyers aren't well represented in it.

The first player is Bobby Brink, who made his NHL debut on Tuesday, at the 25th place. The second one is Emil Andrae, at the last place. He's having a great season in Sweden, as he registered 33 points in 41 regular season games. He added 10 points in 8 playoff tilts so far.

There's a bit of a nuance to add to it : Cam York, who played 30 games this year, wasn't considered as a prospect by Button. But he played more (34) in the AHL so he could've been considered as a non-regular NHL player. He would've obviously made the list.

Does a player like Tyson Foerster should've been on the list? Maybe. But his injuries this season probably hurt him. If he was healthy all year, he would certainly have a case.
