Flyers star defenseman Tony DeAngelo has been in the news numerous times this season regarding troubles with head coach John Tortorella to leaving the team due to a family matter and now with a major penalty, he was assessed and suspended.
The incident occurred on March 8th when the Flyers were playing the Tampa Bay Lightning in front of the net DeAngelo speared lightning forward Corey Perry.
After the incident, the entire line that was on the ice for the Tampa Bay Lightning went after DeAngelo and stood up for their teammate.

DeAngelo had a look at the video and made a statement that he didn't mean to hurt anyone and that he won't let that happen again.
D'Angelo was suspended for two games how long after receiving a major penalty for game misconduct.
