Flyers forward say a final goodbye to Philadelphia?
The Flyers have begun their rebuild phase as the season is about the finish. After playing their last game at Wells Fargo Center, the sense is many players on the current roster will not be returning next year including leftwinger James van Riemsdyk.
JVR is completing his second go-around with the Flyers after playing six years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. His second stint with the Flyers was not as productive and memorable as his first. The biggest blunder was his contract, he held a $7 million cap yet which did not yield the production that many had hoped.
JVR weighed in on his views about Philadelphia and his time spent there.

I do feel that this will be his last year with the Flyers, as his play has declined over the past few years and his next contract will be nowhere near the $7 million cap that he holds now. JVR still does have some gas in the tank and could help another team with their power play.
As most fans know though, the Flyers will be moving on from him as they continue to assess and move players out of their lineup to make room for the new stars they will be drafting over the next few years.
The Flyers will be on the road for their final game of the NHL season and will play the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, April 13th. Game time will be 8:30 PM Eastern.
