Over the past number of years, the goaltender stock has been coming from Russia rather than Europe or North America. Time and time again, you hear about goaltenders that are outstanding and it seems that they have Russian heritage behind them.

It seems to be the case for the Philadelphia Flyers who drafted Yegor Zavrangin who has played in the VHL and MHL so far this year.
The 18-year-old goaltender who stands at 6 foot two 183 pounds was drafted by the Flyers in 2023 in the third round, 87th overall. As of late, the Flyers have been catching great prospects in the goaltenders pool with Samuel Ersson, Alexi Kolosov and Carson Bjarnason.
You can never have enough goaltending and it appears that general manager Danny Briere feels the same as they continue to stockpile goaltenders with the rebuilding phase in full swing. Currently, Carter Hart and Samuel Ersson will likely lead the way for the goaltending this year.
The Flyers played the Boston Bruins tonight and managed to win 3-1 as the preseason continues.
