As most NHL fans know, Ron Hextall, the former general manager and starting goaltender for the Philadelphia Flyers, is known for his toughness on the ice and off the ice.
Travis Konecny also learned how to deal with Ron Hextall, as the story was shared during the Nasty Knuckles podcast earlier this weekend.
Flyers' former trainer Derek "Nasty" Settlemyre explains the story where Ron Hextall was on the phone with him, completely irate that the then 19-year-old TK was handing out sticks to kids when, in fact, he wasn't supposed to. TK, who was unaware of this, listened as his boss wanted to knock him down a peg.

Nasty explained to Hextall that the sticks were broken and that he would take care of it. After 1999, when he retired from the game, he joined the Flyers' staff as a pro scout. On May 7th, 2014, he was named the general manager of the Flyers and only lasted four seasons in that role after dismal starts and a lack of playoffs.
TK, on the other hand, is having a great start to his season. He has played fifteen games, scored nine goals with 4 assists for 13 points, and is a +4. Having spent his entire eight years of his NHL career with the Flyers, he has played 503 games and scored 150 goals with 195 assists for 345 points.
The Flyers will be on the road for their next game against the Carolina Hurricanes. The game will be on Wednesday, November 15th, at 7:30 PM Eastern.
