When Sergei Bobrovsky played for the Flyers back in 2010 through 2012, your organization had high hopes that they finally found the goaltender of their future since the team had struggled to find a replacement for Ron Hextall after he left the organization.

In his first season, he played 52 games and had a record of 28-13-8 with 2.59 goals against at a .915 save percentage.
It all looked promising until the next season when his numbers took a massive dip then the Flyers decided to send him to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Bob, as he's known throughout the NHL has had an up-and-down career, especially this season while playing for the Florida Panthers.
He sat for a large portion of the season due to his poor performances while another former Flyers backup goaltender Alex Lyon ended up taking over the role of starter who propelled the Panthers into a playoff spot.

Lyon faltered during the Boston series while being down three games to 1 in which the Panthers brought back Bob and the rest is history.
Currently, Bob holds a 9-2-0 record with a 2.32 GAA and a .931 save percentage. That kind of number will lock any team down for a very long run throughout the playoffs now it appears that the Panthers are on a trajectory to the Stanley Cup finals as they hold a 2-0 lead over the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Panthers have stolen two games from Carolinas home and could close out this series rather quickly if Bob continues to play his Vezina style.
