It appears former NHL'er star has hit rock bottom. 35 year old Bobby Ryan recently retired was arrested Monday in Nashville International Airport for public intoxication.
Ryan was drafted back in 2005 2nd overall by the Anaheim Ducks played in 866 games in his career between Anaheim, Ottawa, and his last team the Detroit Redwings.
Reports say at the Nashville intentional store Ryan had taken items and left without paying and alerted Airport Police, who observed him on security cameras. Ryan left the stolen items on a counter along his way and entered Little Harpeth Brewing, where officers found him seated at the bar ordering a drink.

Nashville Police say "he was not compliant with them, was extremely intoxicated, and did not know where he was, the date, or the time, and could not stand on his own. The store declined prosecution on the recovered items, and Ryan was jailed for public intoxication."
Ryan was awarded the NHL's Masterton Trophy previously after a battle with alcohol abuse. The award goes to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. However it was reported that Ryan fell back on hard times and recently checked himself out of a substance abuse program.
Ryan was booked in Metro Nashville Jail and charged with public intoxication. He's then since been released. We here hope Ryan gets the help he needs.
