Just over one year ago the Flyers made a questionable trade..
The Flyers acquired defenseman Ryan Ellis from the Predators in exchange for Philippe Myers and Nolan Patrick. Patrick was then traded from Nashville to the Golden Knights for Cody Glass.
That has to go down as one of the most underwhelming trades in this NHL era as Ryan Ellis's career is likely over as well as Nolan Patricks is as well, both players injured badly, but two separate reasons. Ellis has several injuries that the medical staff has ''never seen before'', said Chuck Fletcher. Nolan Patrick is enduring severe migraines, and is likely done for good.

Philippe Myers on the other hand was then released by the Nashville Predators, and then signed by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Myers has just been placed on waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning, he did not have a huge role with the team and only averaged roughly 12 minutes of ice time per night in eleven games played this season.
The former Flyers defensemen is on his final year of his 3-year term with a cheap price tag of $2,550,000 until he is a free agent, should the Flyers take a run at Myers? If the Flyers don't, and no other NHL team does through this waiver period he will be sent down to the Tampa Bay Lightning AHL team, the Syracuse Crunch.
