The Philadelphia Flyers hold a impressive record (5-2-1) and are in Manhattan today to take on the New York Rangers who hold a slightly underwhelming record (5-3-2). Game time at Madison Square Garden is 7:00 p.m. EDT.
Notes from Flyers writer Bill Meltzers 5 thoughts piece:
Carter Hart getting the start in goal as expected, Hart is currently 5-0-1 on the season and is ranked a top 3 goaltender in the entire NHL.
79 Carter Hart [32 Felix Sandström]
Rangers tough guy Ryan Reaves is on the ice against first-year Flyers counterpart Nicolas Deslauriers, there's the potential for the two veteran heavyweights to drop the gloves. They've only fought once in the NHL to date (Feb. 9, 2021 while Deslauriers was with Anaheim) and Reaves has yet to have a bout against a Flyer in his 764-game NHL career. That could very well change in Tuesday's game.
On the injury front, Filip Chytil is officially day-to-day with an upper-body (head) injury. The injury happened in the Rangers' 5-1 home loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 23.
Potential lineup vs. Flyers (subject to change, based on Arizona game)
